RIU Hotels & Resorts, in its firm commitment to the communities where it operates, has announced its first social collaboration in the United KingdomThe hotel chain has joined forces with the NGO All Child to launch a project in London, specifically within the framework of the South Westminster Impact Programme. Their work is essential to ensuring a personalized and continuous support to minors at risk.
All Child, a non-profit organization founded in 2015, is dedicated to mobilizing local communities to create strong support networks that foster the social, emotional, and academic development of vulnerable children and adolescents. Its comprehensive approach not only benefits children directly but also has a positive impact on their families, educational centers, and public early intervention services.
The selection of beneficiaries is based on social, emotional and educational risk criteria, using information provided by schools and community agents in the area. The selected young people are integrated into the Early Intervention Programme, a comprehensive two-year educational plan that includes approximately seven hours per week of activities tailored to your specific needs.
This project will be implemented in three schools in the South Westminster area: Millbank Academy, Pimlico Academy, and Pimlico Primary. The initiative is expected to directly benefit 70 children, adolescents and their families, generating a positive change in the school community and its surroundings. This social action is the result of the application of the RIU Method, a tool developed in collaboration with ESCP Business School to identify local needs and forge strategic alliances. Furthermore, the collaboration is part of the Communities and Natural Environments axis of the chain's sustainability strategy, known as Proudly Committed.
