Banco Santander has promoted nearly 6.000 entrepreneurial projects, startups and SMEs in the first half of 2024, providing training, support and awards. Through its Santander X global platform, the entity has distributed more than 260.000 euros in prizes, supporting the development of innovative solutions in sectors such as health, education and business efficiency.

Among those recognized are startups and scaleups such as Bcas (Spain), Key2enable (Brazil) and MyPocketSkill (United Kingdom), which have stood out for their disruptive initiatives in digital transformation and improving employability. The Bank has organized challenges such as the Santander X Global Challenge | Education, Employability, Entrepreneurship, with the participation of nearly 1.000 entrepreneurs.

The impact of these initiatives adds to the results of 2023, when the Bank supported 7.036 projects. This effort has been recognized by Euromoney magazine, which named Santander as the “best bank in the world for SMEs” in Spain, Chile and Poland.

“We remain committed to progress and inclusive and sustainable growth,” Santander said, highlighting its investment of more than 2.300 billion euros in education and entrepreneurship over 27 years.
