The State Ports Authority summoned the 27 state ports in Santander.
At this annual meeting, the 2003 Contribution Fund distribution committee allocated the contributions and aid planned for the next fiscal year and ratified the allocations granted for this year.
All state ports contribute an amount annually to this fund, whose budget is allocated to the maintenance of the State Ports Public Entity (EPPE) and to help the Port Authorities (AA.PP.) that are in the worst economic situation.
Another topic discussed at this meeting was the current status of the development of the so-called 'Balanced Scorecard', which is being applied in a pioneering way in several Port Authorities.
The 'Balanced Scorecard' is a model that seeks to help organizations transform their strategies into operational objectives linked to the day-to-day operation of their activity.
In addition, the president of State Ports, José Llorca, will update the presidents of the public administrations on the results obtained in the meetings of the 2003 Business Plan, through which each port establishes its lines of action and investments.
Llorca also plans to address the draft bill on the Economic Regime and Provision of Services in Ports of General Interest, which is currently being processed.
