Last May, several Business One-Stop Shops opened across the country. Among them, the most significant were those in Cuenca and Guadalajara, making Castilla-La Mancha the first Autonomous Community to offer this service in all its provinces.
The opening in Cantabria adds a new Community to the Spanish network of Ventanillas, making twelve in total.
The Minister of Public Administration, Javier Arenas, and the Vice President of the Council and President of the Bilbao Chamber of Commerce, Ignacio Echeberría, inaugurated the office in Cantabria. They also signed the Expansion Plan for the One-Stop Shops, which will create a network of partner centers to guarantee service to all entrepreneurs.
This network will develop the same business advisory and processing services as the physical One-Stop Shops. Furthermore, Chambers of Commerce and the Central Government will cooperate with Spanish municipalities to incorporate information on the necessary procedures for starting a business into the Virtual One-Stop Shop. Municipalities joining this program must be located within the territorial scope of Autonomous Communities that have physical One-Stop Shops.
