The Ibero-American General SecretariatSEGIB, the Ibero-American Business Council -CEIB and the Ibero-American Federation of Young Entrepreneurs-SET they lead one more year the Europe-LATAM Business Forum In this second edition of Madrid Platform, which will be held from May 23 to 25 at the Cibeles Palace in Madrid.
On this occasion, the participation of authorities and experts from the entire region, representatives of more than 600 companies and 300 potential investors is expected, which in total means more than 9.600 attendees from 60 countries during these three days. Under the motto “Trade and investment in a new sustainable recovery scenario”, The forum organized by SEGIB, CEIB and FIJE will play a leading role in this international business hub that places Madrid as the epicenter of business activity and serves as a bridge between thousands of European and Latin American companies.
The main objective of this meeting is to complement the work that, from the three institutions, has been carried out in recent years, to promote the development of the Ibero-American business space, through the analysis of strategic issues of interest to the entire region.
Thanks to the success of both EU-LATAM Business Forum Like the first edition of Madrid Platform, this year they have joined once again SEGIB, CEIB and FIJE, thus consolidating this international business hub as an ecosystem of business and institutional collaboration between both regions.
In this sense, for Madrid Platform Renewing the support of these three institutions constitutes a key pillar for the project. The know-how and trust generated by these organizations allows us to generate an ambitious and far-reaching ecosystem for companies and institutions from all over the world. Europe and Latin America, with Madrid as a link and driving force. The EU-LATAM International Business Forum promotes the main topics and data relevant to the company in the international arena and will be a permanent and characteristic space of Madrid Platform in the future.
News in the second edition of the EU-LATAM Forum
Prominent authorities, representatives of various institutions, experts and businessmen will address new financing and investment models for the development of sustainable businesses; the trends and challenges in Ibero-American intraregional trade; connectivity in the face of the challenge of reconfiguring global value chains; or the role of business organizations in this new reconstruction scenario, among other issues.
The forum will begin on the 23rd with an opening session, followed by a financing and investment panel, in which thematic bonds will be discussed as new essential development instruments to finance innovation; the financial and banking sector in the face of the new paradigm of sustainable development; or the role of multilateral financing organizations in a new investment scenario for recovery.
One of the most relevant novelties of this edition is that that same day the report “Global Latam: foreign foreign investment series”, prepared by SEGIB, CEIB and ICEX España Exportación e Inversiones, which addresses the current state of the economy and Latin American companies through its Capabilities
On the second day of the forum, experts will focus on Ibero-American intraregional trade, and will analyze the state of trade agreements and the criteria for the elimination of barriers; new digital commerce strategies for SMEs; internationalization and softlanding initiatives; or the rise of knowledge-based services. In a second panel, the reconstruction of the global value chains; intelligent logistics models; connectivity in Latin America as a social and economic tool; and public-private alliances as an engine of development.
During the third and last day (May 25), there will be held, as last year, a discussion of presidents of business organizations of the EU and Latam, in which the role that all of them play in the new scenario of reconstruction and sustainable recovery will be highlighted. Finally, the event will close with the conclusions of the meeting and the final words, which will be given by the representatives of SEGIB, CEIB and FIJE.

With this forum, held within the framework of Madrid Platform, seeks to strengthen economic and commercial relations between Europe and Latin America, promote and encourage constructive dialogue and the exchange of enriching experiences, as well as enhance the generation of business and active networking. Madrid Platform represents a real economic and business boost. and the possibility of putting companies from different sectors in contact, generating synergies between them to achieve greater productivity, projection and creation of quality employment. On this occasion, a technological platform has also been developed to manage the access and participation of companies and entrepreneurs in the meeting, which allows them to be put in contact with related companies and institutions automatically.
Furthermore, among the new business closing formats that Madrid Platform allows, companies will be able to choose the Agoras, a business closing model in which a presenting company presents its project in front of 20 listeners with a desire for synergy, or the Business Roundtables, meeting points where businesspeople can have 10 one-on-one meetings and talk directly and without intermediaries.
In this new edition Ireland will join, with its Minister of Commerce; Chili; France; Argentina; or Brazil, among other countries. In total, between 800 and 1.200 work meetings will be held, 400 in the Ágora area; 4 international forums, 12 seminars, 14 workshops and 10 pro-business-country sessions. In summary, 50 simultaneous events to generate business expectations, explore new trends and put Madrid at the international business center.
