The event, titled «Strategic cooperation for a Digital European Sky«, will take place in the Carmen Palace in Santiago de Compostela and its main objective is to boost the growth and presence of Galician industry in these key sectors. The Xunta's initiative aims to strengthen the region's industrial base by encouraging the incorporation of new companies, attracting investment, and training professionals.
During the day, the main lines of work of the new Galician industrial strategy will be detailed, and the funding opportunities for research and innovation projects offered by the Galician Industrial Strategy will be presented. SESAR 3 Joint Undertaking (SESAR 3 JU)This public-private partnership of the European Union has the mission of accelerating the implementation of the Digital European Sky, an ambitious plan to modernize air traffic management across the continent.
La General Director of Industrial Strategy and Business Land, Margarita Ardao, highlighted the objectives of this initiative: "To boost the growth of companies that are part of the Galician security, defense and aerospace ecosystem and expand it with the incorporation of new companies from other strategic sectors; to materialize new industrial investments; to strengthen the territorial productive capacities of Galicia, including access to capital, infrastructure and qualified workers; and to lead new industrial policies at the national level"Ardao also invited companies and professionals to attend the event to learn about the opportunities in the sector firsthand.
Among the speakers at the meeting are prominent figures such as José Antonio Calvo Fresno, SESAR advisor; Juan Francisco Reyes Sánchez, Spanish representative in SESAR and Farrah Lisa Meghazi, Deputy Director General of Industrial Promotion and Business Land. In addition to the presentations, the program includes a space for dialogue with companies to foster cooperation and synergies.
