Internationalization Plan

The Minister of Industry, Employment, Innovation and Trade, Eduardo Arasti, points out that the First Internationalization Plan of Cantabria is a roadmap agreed upon with all the organizations linked to the business fabric, which will have a budget of 13,5 million euros until 2028 to make Cantabria a region more open to the world and consolidate it in international markets.

This plan, promoted by SODERCAN, seeks to increase the number of exporting companies; to encourage those that already export to export more and, in addition, expand their markets beyond Europe; to boost the incorporation of talent in the regional export sector; to promote innovation and digitalization in internationalization; and to create the "Cantabria-Spain brand" by enhancing the value of strategic industrial sectors in the region.

Itineraries by sector, size and export stage

The plan offers a specific itinerary according to the sector, size and export stage in which each company finds itself, and has a strong sectoral focus, identifying opportunities and trends relevant to the key sectors identified: ICT, metalworking, agri-food and others with export potential.
