– What are the objectives of the Andorra Tourism Directorate?
Improving Andorra's tourism offerings and increasing overnight stays. The recent classification of tourist accommodations, internal awareness campaigns, improvements to our transportation infrastructure, and, in general, the efforts of both the private and public sectors, are helping us consolidate Andorra as a top tourist destination year-round.
– What has business tourism meant in Andorra in recent years?
The meetings, incentives, conferences, and exhibitions (MICE) tourism sector is one of the tourism products that is growing thanks to the boost from the public sector and especially thanks to the investments and improvements made by the private sector, with new hotels, more meeting rooms, and better services and equipment.
– What projects exist in terms of tourism infrastructure?
The public sector is investing in new facilities for holding events such as fairs or congresses.
Furthermore, new hotels and leisure areas are being built. Of particular note in this regard is the recent arrival of the high-speed train to Lleida. The Madrid-Lleida AVE line facilitates connections between central Spain and the Pyrenees, and in particular, with Andorra. This will be another advantage for business tourism in Andorra.
