The Spanish Association of Automotive Suppliers, SERNAUTO, celebrated today, June 27, its Ordinary general meeting in which the companies that will make up its Board of Directors for the next four years have been elected.
SERNAUTO is made up of large national industrial groups, foreign multinationals with presence in Spain, mid-cap companies and a good number of SMEs which together represent more than 85% of the sector's turnover. This diversity of associated companies continues to be very present in the incoming Board of Directors.
The General Assembly has endorsed the excellent work carried out by the outgoing Board of Directors and the association's team, which has managed to consolidate the transformation process undertaken by the Association since 2015, launch new projects and services with greater added value for members. , as well as increasing the visibility of the sector in its mandate.
Thus, the composition of the new Board of Directors of SERNAUTO will be made up of the following companies: Antolín, Benteler, Bosch España, Brembo, CIE Automotive, Continental, FAE, Ficosa, Gestamp, Forvia, Industrias Alegre, Mahle, Mann+Hummel Ibérica, Mondragón, Schaeffler Iberia, Teknia, Valeo España and Zanini.
During the General Assembly, the President of SERNAUTO, Francisco J. Riberas, thanked the previous Board of Directors for their involvement these four years and all the associates for their support. He highlighted the intense work carried out by the Association in defense of the common interests of the sector and also in the launch of projects to improve the competitiveness of associated companies in the areas of innovation, digitalization, sustainability, internationalization and spare parts, among others. “In recent years we have managed to place our Association in the prominent position that our industry deserved, due to the strategic role it plays in our country. Being in an association like SERNAUTO, with a clear purpose, has many advantages and we want you to make the most of them. We must not forget that together we are stronger.”
The General Director of SERNAUTO, Jose Portilla, reviewed the main milestones of the Association in 2022, with special focus on the important work of Institutional Relations carried out, and presented the internal strategic plan of the Association. “Horizon 2025” Association, among other relevant facts.
Cristina San Martín, Director of Coordination, Projects and Services, and the Area managers –Cecilia Medina, Mª Begoña Llamazares, Carolina López and Ismael Escobar– commented on the work carried out in the different Work Commissions and the main projects of 2023. They were grateful to the Presidents of the Commissions for their support, involvement and generosity.
In addition, the new associates and collaborating partners were thanked for their trust in joining this “great family” of automotive suppliers.
