HM King Felipe VI visits the HONOR stand at MWC 2025

HM King Philip VI has visited the stand of HONOR, the global technology brand, at the Mobile World Congress 2025, where he has shown great interest in the innovations in artificial intelligence presented by the company.

Accompanied by various authorities, including, Diana Morant Ripoll, current Minister of Science, Innovation and Universities of the Government of Spain, the monarch has been able to see first-hand HONOR's technology in the detection of AI Deepfake, a key tool in the fight against identity theft and digital fraud, problems that are on the rise in Spain due to the use of artificial intelligence filters.

During his tour of the stand, HM the King has raised a particularly insightful question about HONOR’s R&D capabilities in digital forgery detection: in addition to identifying software-generated faces, is it possible to detect real faces that have been impersonated? This question has sparked an interesting debate among the company’s experts, who have highlighted HONOR’s commitment to developing advanced solutions to ensure the digital security of users.

The presence of His Majesty the King at his stand underlines the relevance of these technologies and their impact on society.

Likewise, His Majesty King Felipe VI has shown great interest in the capabilities of Google Gemini artificial intelligence, integrated into the new HONOR smartphones. In a live demonstration, the monarch was able to learn about advanced functions such as removing people from images and making reservations using voice commands, which has captured his attention and that of the attendees. An integration that reinforces HONOR's commitment to innovation and digital security, offering an advanced AI experience tailored to the needs of the user.

A strategy focused on humanity, for a new era

At this edition of World Congress 2025, HONOR reaffirms its commitment to innovation and digital security, betting on a technological ecosystem that improves the user experience and reinforces trust in the era of Artificial Intelligence.

All this is included in the recently presented HONOR ALPHA PLAN, a new strategy to evolve from a smartphone manufacturer to a global leader in the AI-powered device ecosystem. Articulated in three phases, it details the steps the brand will take to usher in the new intelligent world, and calls on the industry to co-create an open, shared-value ecosystem that maximizes human potential, ultimately benefiting all of humanity.
