Representatives from different industrial sectors, integrated into the Alliance for the Competitiveness of Spanish Industry, have presented to the Monarch the bases of the future State Pact for industry.
The group that constitutes the Alliance for the Competitiveness of the Spanish Industry, in which they participate ANFAC, AOP, ASPAPEL, FEIQUE, FIAB, OFICEMEN and UNESID, has transmitted to HM King Felipe VI the role of the industrial sector in its geographical, social and economic dimension for the country. “Industry is the activity that generates more stable wealth, greater added value, productivity and more quality employment,” M.Ané Calvo, President of the Spanish Federation of Food and Beverage Industries (FIAB), who acted as spokesperson for the Alliance on this occasion.
During the hearing at the La Zarzuela Palace, the representatives of the Alliance for the Competitiveness of the Spanish Industry they thanked HM the King his fundamental work as the country's main ambassador abroad, leading an image of Spain modern, efficient and capable of competing in all markets, they reported in a press release.
During the course of the event, the importance of having a appropriate industrial policy and a structure that favors the continuous improvement of the competitiveness conditions. La Alliance for the Competitiveness of the Spanish Industry It is made up of seven strategic industrial sectors for our country (Food and Beverages, Automotive, Cement, Paper, Petroleum Products, Chemicals and Steel) that generate 50% of the Gross Industrial Product and 4 million direct, indirect and induced jobs. Together, the Alliance companies carry out 60% of industrial exports and 50% of R&D&I investments.
