Cantabria will have the opportunity to promote itself at the most important smart manufacturing fair in Japan.

The Society for the Development of Cantabria, SODERCAN, dependent on the Ministry of Industry, Employment, Innovation and Commerce, has organized jointly with the Chamber of Commerce of Cantabria, an online information session to present the Smart Manufacturing Summit Fair in Japan to Cantabrian companies, which will take place in March.
The information day will take place on January 17, Wednesday, at 10 a.m., in virtual format, via Zoom, and to participate, a reservation is required through the following link. The opening will be carried out by the general director of Innovation, Technological Development and Industrial Entrepreneurship of the Government of Cantabria, Javier Puente.
Smart Manufacturing Summit will take place in Aichi, Japan, from March 13 to 15, and will be the meeting place for Japanese and European industrial professionals
With the expectation of 250 exhibitors (125 from Japan and 125 from Europe) and 15.000 visitors, Smart Manufacturing Summit will bring together companies, institutions, clusters and regions from Japan and Europe to generate business opportunities, share a long-term sustainable vision, and help the development of innovation and research for Industry 5.0.
The format of the fair combines an exhibition, a conference program, an innovation exhibition (dedicated to innovative solutions and products focused on startups), a demonstration of state-of-the-art machinery and a tour of “Smart Factories”.
Six main categories of Industry 5.0 will be represented: Connected Manufacturing, Advanced Technology and Materials, Digital Ecosystems, Sustainable Manufacturing, Intelligent Mobility and Renewable Energy.
