Teltronic launches TETRA communications system on Ho Chi Minh City's first metro line

 

The technology of the Spanish company TELTRONIC It is already in operation on Line 1 of the metro Ho Chi Minh, which has been launched as the first urban rail line in the bustling metropolis of Vietnam The company has been responsible for designing, supplying and implementing a comprehensive communications system based on TETRA digital radio technology.

 

As a technology provider to Hitachi Rail, the project's main contractor, Teltronic has been key to the operation. Its solution includes the network infrastructure, providing TETRA coverage along the nearly 20 kilometers of the line, as well as the radio equipment installed on the 17 trains in service and the control consoles. In addition, the company has supplied portable and fixed terminals for maintenance and security personnel, and a control center solution with six operator positions.

 

 

With this new reference, Teltronic consolidates its position as a major player in the international mass transportation sector and strengthens its presence in the Asian market.

 

 

Teltronic technology has been integrated with other train subsystems, such as the public address system, intercom, and the train control and management system (TCMS). Line 1, which connects the city center with the northeast, spanning a total of 19,7 kilometers, is a strategic project to improve urban mobility and reduce traffic problems in one of Asia's fastest-growing cities.
