Vigo Free Trade Zone and the Consular Corps will collaborate to support commercial actions and provide advice for the installation of companies from countries with a consulate in Galicia. The State delegate in the Vigo Free Zone Consortium, David Regades, received the city's Consular Corps, led by its dean, the honorary consul of Poland, Juan M. Vieites Baptista de Sousa.
David Regades explained that “the Internationalization is in the DNA of the Free Zone, as an economic development agency, and the Consular Corps is an excellent vehicle to channel the interest that companies from the countries they represent have in Galicia and Vigo. Also to help Galician companies reach those countries.”
Juan M. Vieites offered “the collaboration of the Consular Corps for the future to act with delegations from countries with consulates, from a commercial and advice for setting up businesses”. In addition, he highlighted “the excellent rehabilitation of the building that is the new headquarters of Zona Franca” and “the work that Zona Franca does in its work towards the business world.”
The consular representatives visited the new headquarters of the Consortium, a historic building from the 19th century that has been rehabilitated by the Free Trade Zone, which offers its entire ground floor for the organization of all types of citizen events and activities. Likewise, in a meeting with the State delegate, they learned about all the projects that the Consortium has underway.
