The Port Authority of Valencia has participated in the Breakbulk Europe 2017 Fair

[Img # 22900]Valenciaport has participated in the annual contest Breakbulk Europe 2017, held from April 24 to 26 in Antwerp (Belgium).

 

Participation in this fair, which stands as the largest European meeting on project cargo, heavy cargo and ro-ro cargo logistics, has allowed Valenciaport, and specifically to the port of Sagunto, represented at the fair by its director Juan Miguel Bernat, show their competitive advantages over this type of traffic.

 

La Port Authority of Valencia (APV), who has participated in the contest within the stand of State Ports, has been represented by the director of the port of Sagunto, Juan Miguel Bernat, the Director of Operations of the APV, Nestor Martinez and the deputy to the APV management cabinet, Manuel José García.

During their stay, the commercial team has maintained a round of contacts with logistics operators, shipping companies, manufacturers and intermediaries, while taking advantage of the opportunities for new contacts that the assistance has offered them. In this sense, the director of the port of Sagunto has indicated that “after several meetings held with companies in the sector, we return from Antwerp with two or three possible projects that could be very interesting for the PAV.” Juan Miguel Bernat He has also pointed out that this fair is “the event par excellence of the port of Sagunto due to the type of traffic to which it is dedicated and its annual capacity to attract visitors. In fact, at the stand of the Port Authority of the Port of Sagunto "It is the great protagonist of this event above those of Valencia or Gandía due to its versatility, experience and layout of spaces and handling equipment."

 

La APV has attended this event showing the potential of this type of traffic. Within the offer of Valenciaport, mainly highlights the port of Sagunto, which has a total uncovered area of ​​219.000 square meters, and 55.000 m2 of warehouses and 4 ro-ro ramps. For his part, the port of Valencia It has 12.600 square meters and 3 ro-ro ramps and the port of Gandia It has 71.440 square meters and a ro-ro ramp.
