Vigo is preparing to host a new and ambitious edition of the 8th and 9th of May The Way Startup Summit, the leading event for entrepreneurship in the northwest of the Iberian Peninsula. With the expected participation of more than 50 startups, 100 top-level speakers, and 120 investors, the event promises to surpass the success of its previous edition, which brought together more than 2.200 attendees. The official presentation took place at the headquarters of the Vigo Free Trade Zone, anticipating a program focused on innovation, entrepreneurship and investment.
“This year’s The Way Startup Summit will feature leading figures such as Pepe Solla, one of Galicia’s top innovators in the food and culinary sector, and others like Pedro Pestana of Marosa and Lucas Varela of Onum, entrepreneurs who have raised €12 million and €25 million respectively this year. Also joining us will be Rubén Ferreiro, a leading investor and business angel in Galicia who has done so much for the startup ecosystem; and Josep Coll, one of the founders of Red Points, a company that has achieved one of the biggest exits in Spain. Coll will share his journey through entrepreneurship and investment in a rock and roll concert format—a fun and surprising event,” the organizers announced. Regades added that "this meeting is a description of the real economy of the Euroregion" and praised public-private collaboration as a driving force for supporting entrepreneurs.

Galicia, a magnet for investors
A primary objective of this edition is to make Galicia a focus of investment. The more than 120 investors from Spain and Portugal will have the opportunity to learn about the potential of 50 Galician startups that will seek to raise funding to boost their growth in the Investment Forum.
