Toni Bou: Legend and Champion Motorcycle Meet Again at the Museum of Alcalá de Henares

The bike joins the "Box Repsol" exhibition, where another Cota 4RT was already on display, the bike with which Bou won his 36th title in 2024.

This reunion between the rider and his first championship-winning bike has been an emotional moment, full of memories of a career that began brilliantly and that, to this day, continues to break records. The 4 Montesa Cota 2007RT is not just a bike, it is a symbol of the beginning of a legend.

“This bike is my favorite. A key moment in my career, unforgettable and unexpected,” declared Toni Bou during the bike's presentation at the museum. “It's a very different bike from the others I've had. The chassis changed from 2007 to 2008. I can already see which one it is from a distance, and it brings back so many memories. It was a lightweight bike, two and a half or three kilos lighter than the current one, due to regulations. I have incredible memories of it.”

The arrival of this historic piece at the "Box Repsol" exhibition allows motorcycle enthusiasts to closely observe the evolution of a machine and rider who have dominated trials for two decades. The 2007 Montesa Cota 4RT, with its Repsol Honda colors, contrasts with the 2024 model, showcasing technological advancements and Bou's constant refinement.

Bou, who made his debut with the Repsol Honda team in 2007, has forged an unrivalled career, with 36 world titles (18 outdoors and 18 indoors) and is on his way to his 37th crown. The Montesa Cota 4RT has been his faithful companion on this adventure, becoming an extension of his own body.

"Currently, it goes from museum to museum, but I hope one day I can keep it and have it in my dining room at home," Bou added, revealing the sentimental value this motorcycle has for him.

With this new addition, the Alcalá de Henares Motorcycle Museum further solidifies its position as a landmark for motorcycle enthusiasts, offering a unique opportunity to explore the history of one of the most exciting sports and the career of one of its greatest exponents. The "Box Repsol" exhibition pays tribute to the partnership between Repsol and Honda, a collaboration that has yielded results in multiple motorcycling disciplines, reaching its pinnacle in trials with Toni Bou.
