Transfiere is gearing up for its fifteenth edition as the European epicenter of R&D&I

The European Forum for Science, Technology and Innovation, Transfiere, has confirmed the dates of its fifteenth edition, which will be held from 18 al 20 March 2026 at the Malaga Fair and Congress Palace (FYCMA). The announcement was made during a key meeting of the Organizing Committee, where the event's new visual identity was also presented and strategies for the next edition were outlined.

Transfiere 2026 will maintain its focus on connecting the business community, academia, regional governments, and innovation organizations, consolidating its position as the leading European meeting point in the field of R&D&I.

One of the notable new features for the 2026 edition is the expansion of its content program, incorporating highly topical thematic areas such as dual technologies, development of advanced materials and bioingenieríaIn addition, the forum will strengthen its already significant international positioning.

The Organizing Committee meeting was attended by key figures such as the Secretary General of Research and Innovation of the Ministry of University, Research and Innovation, Antonio Posadas; the Director General of Planning, Coordination and Knowledge Transfer of the Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities, Elisa Rivera; the Director General of FYCMA, Nacho Román; and the president of the Transfiere Organizing Committee and general director of Malaga TechPark, Felipe Romera.

During the meeting, the new image of Transfiere, a more modern proposal that evolves with the event through a graphic system and a renewed color palette. This update coincides with the forum's growing global reach, which broke participation records at its last March edition.

The dynamic content, the growing institutional and business involvement, and the boost to the university and entrepreneurial ecosystem reaffirm Transfiere's usefulness and impact as a strategic space for generating international alliances and aligning agendas with the main European challenges in innovation.

In 2026, special emphasis will be placed on the visibility of local innovation policies promoted by city councils and provincial councils. Furthermore, academia will maintain its leading role, exploring new international collaborations, especially with regions of the region. Asia and Latin America.

The content program will be structured around the spaces Ágora, Science Room, Innovation Room, Research Center and Andalucía Knowledge, addressing, in addition to the new topics mentioned above, areas such as precision health, applied quantum technologies, and digital infrastructures.

Transfiere 2025 marked a milestone with more than 5.200 professional visitors, the participation of more than 700 companies, entities, and public administrations, representation from 40 countries, and the presence of 90 percent of Spain's autonomous communities and cities.

Transfiere is organized by the Malaga City Council, the Department of University, Research and Innovation of the Andalusian Regional Government, and the Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities, with FYCMA in charge of the event's executive management.
