Digitalization, a tool for the internationalization of companies
The sixth edition of the Fujitsu World Tour had Digital Transformation as its central theme and that is why it was held within the framework of the Digital Enterprise Show 2016, the first edition of the international event that takes place in Madrid.
Fujitsu has focused on the future of society and the company, in a sincere dialogue with leaders of the Science, Banking, Public Sector, Health, Justice, Insurance, Transportation or Retail, under open debates on the challenges and opportunities of Digital transformation in these sectors. Furthermore, in its more than 500m2 exhibition space, it has brought together the latest technological developments and highly differential sector solutions.
How to prepare the company to achieve international success? has been one of the conferences offered during the event and has had the participation of DHL. Nicolás Mouze, Marketing and Sales Director of DHL Express Iberia together with Elisabeth Margarit, Fujitsu Consulting Director has exposed the most important aspects to take into account in the Capabilities.
According to Mouze: “Any company can internationalize, but to do so it must have a clear strategy from the beginning and adequate preparation, knowing the strengths of the product in the chosen destinations, the culture of each country and especially the logistics and customs costs.”
During his speech, Nicolás Mouze tried to eliminate false trade myths: “Sometimes, price is equated with success, but what is important is value and that value is built in the market, from the country of origin. The price is relative, since its perception in different markets is different, but in international trade you have to convey commitment, reliability and good after-sales service."
For Elisabeth Margarit: “Strategy is the weak point of the Spanish company, as well as preparation. Some companies believe that having a website is enough, but that is not the case. A prior study is necessary.”
In this context, companies must address key aspects of digital transformation with the aim of preparing for internationalization, both from an internal point of view and throughout the sales process, including logistics, value-added services and after-sales service.
