A NASA astronaut "lands" at ESIC

Miguel López Alegría is an internationally renowned NASA astronaut currently working on the construction and maintenance of the International Space Station (ISS). On January 28th, he was invited by ESIC, the Business and Marketing School, to give a lecture on "Teamwork: My Experience in Space." With this initiative, the business school aims to launch a series of continuing education courses for its alumni, featuring highly qualified experts.

Many people attended the session, attentively following the Spanish astronaut's explanations about his experiences in space, and specifically the most recent one on the International Space Station where he flew last November to replace the scientists who, after six months of work in orbit, returned to Earth to be replaced by three other researchers who will remain on the ship until next spring.

Captain López Alegría spoke about the importance of teams in achieving projects of such extraordinary complexity and the need for company executives to know how to motivate their teams.
