A group of Spanish SMEs travel to Tokyo with the Chamber of Spain to maintain bilateral contacts with Japanese companies

Each SME will meet with an average of five Japanese companies

Social robotics, naval design, gourmet food, wine, textiles, health tourism and care for the elderly are some of the activities of the selected SMEs.

La Chamber of Commerce of Spain has selected thirteen Spanish SMEs to keep in Tokyo bilateral contacts with japanese companies. This initiative, which is co-financed with European funds SPRING, is part of the business events that have been organized coinciding with the official trip of Their Majesties the Kings a Japan.

 

La Chamber of Spain has designed for each SME participant a contact agenda with japanese companies who have shown interest in the product/service. On average, each SME will have five individual interviews. In total, 70 contacts have been closed.

 

Spanish SMEs Those who participate in this initiative have been previously selected by the internationalization technicians of the Spanish Chamber of Commerce, depending on the degree of acceptance that your product/service may have in the Japanese market. Chamber of Spain co-financed with the fund SPRING the travel bag, the contact list and translation services, up to a maximum of 5.000 euros.

 

 

This initiative is part of the corporate events organised on the occasion of the official trip of Their Majesties the King and Queen to Japan.

 

 

Spanish-Japanese Bilateral Committee

 

SMEs also participate in the 26th meeting of the Spanish-Japanese Bilateral Committee, which inaugurates Your majesty the kingThe meeting, which will be held on Thursday, April 6, has been organized by the Chamber of Commerce of Spain In collaboration with ICEX Spain Export and Investments and CEOE.

 

At the meeting of Spanish-Japanese Bilateral Committee, which is chaired by the Spanish side José Manuel Entrecanales, president of Acciona, and on the Japanese side Mikio Sasaki, former president of the Mitsubishi Group, will be attended by presidents and representatives of relevant Spanish companies with a significant presence in Japan and experience collaborating with Japanese companies – such as Iberia, CAF, Gestamp and Bergé y Cia-, as well as a large group of Japanese companies, including Mitsubishi and Mitsui &Co..

 

The Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, alfonso dastis, the Secretary of State for Commerce, Maria Luisa Poncela, the Japanese Minister of Economy and Fiscal Policy, Noboteru Ishihara, the president of the Spanish Chamber of Commerce, Joseph Louis Bonet, also participate in the inauguration, which also includes the participation of the vice president of the CEOE, Joaquin Gay de Montellá.
