Barcelona Free Trade Zone is committed to the Logistics of the Future with 14 new startups in its 4.0 Incubator

In an event that marks a milestone in logistics innovation, the Logistics 4.0 Incubator, the first high-tech incubator in Spain dedicated to Industry 4.0 in the field of logistics sector value chain, has welcomed 14 new startups. Promoted by the Barcelona Free Trade Zone Consortium (CZFB) and with the support of the INCYDE Foundation through European funds SPRINGThis program continues to exceed initial expectations, demonstrating its ability to transform the sector.

The new entrants, Project ADR, Asequis, Packengers, Copailot, Placenet, Pulpop, Cadenity AI, Full & Fast, Convenit, Greenpath Logistics, SCAI Engineering, Cirquel, Locally.Farm, and YK-Logistics, were selected from a total of 21 applications, underscoring the growing interest in supply chain digitalization and sustainability.

Pere NavarroThe State's special delegate to the CZFB highlighted the importance of this initiative: "The Logistics 4.0 Incubator is an ideal platform for turning ideas into companies of the future and, at the same time, is generating new ideas based on emerging needs. From the public sector, we act as a platform for these companies to be born and grow, generating these opportunities in the form of jobs."

The Logistics 4.0 Incubator has already incubated a total of 60 startups in less than two years of activity, exceeding all initial expectations and contributing to digitizing and making all supply chain processes much more sustainable.

Navarro also recalled the role of the CZFB as a driver of the economy: "The Consorci de la Zona Franca de Barcelona is a public company whose only source of income comes from the management of the industrial park of the Free Zone"as well as some buildings we have in Barcelona, and with this we promote economic development to stimulate the economy and create places where new forms of economy can grow and develop to generate business, and therefore new jobs."

For its part, Blanca SoriguéThe CEO of the CZFB emphasized the impact of these initiatives on the region: “The transformation of the industrial fabric represented by projects like those presented here today is very important for us because it ultimately benefits the entire region, creating better jobs, better opportunities, and strengthening the free zone’s global standing. Today, we are a leading free zone worldwide in several aspects, and this is one of our strengths that the startups participating in the Logistics 4.0 Incubator can also leverage.”
